I received the package (Order No: 81880249) today and just tested the item.

The FM transmitter is in working condition. However, the remote control seems to be functioning intermittenly.

I plan to change the battery of the remote control tomorrow. In the event if after a new battery is swapped and the remote is still not working, would it be possible to have a replacement?

Yes. Please let me know after you have changed the battery. Please also align the remote control with transmitter when you use it just like you with using TV remote control,
