  Hi seller, my kid is going for sch camp. May I know how many patches does he need to keep the mozzie away? Also, u sell 6 patches in 1 pack. If I he oni uses 3 patches, can the rest of the patches stay effective for next use? How long can I keep opened n unused patches to ensure it stays effective?

Hi, thanks for your interest in this product. I'd suggest your child uses one pack of 6 patches at once if he is going to be outdoor most of the time. Normally I would recommend my customers to use 1 patch each on left and right sleeves, 1 patch each on left and right side of shorts (near hip area) and 1 patch each on left and right socks so to ensure a full body coverage. It may seems a little over the top but it is good to be extra cautious esp. in this current mosquito-prone climate. If you choose to use less and would like to keep the rest of the patches for future use, then please make sure these remaining patches are kept in airtight containers or resealable bags and stored in cool, dry areas (not exposed to sun or even aircon). I can't determine what would be the best period to store away these patches as Singapore's hot and humid weather can be rather unpredictable but from my personal experience, my patches were still moist within 2 months of storage so I'd say 6-8 weeks would be a good estimate.

Thanks for your query.

These patches are made of natural plant extracts i.e. 100% citronella oil without chemical or artificial substances. Its the 'minty' like smell (bit similar to medicated oil) of the citronella oil that helps keep mosquitoes at bay. The smell is rather subtle and won't cause much irritation to the nose.

The only thing that you need to take note is not to stick the patches on your baby's delicate skin as these are meant for external use i.e. you can stick on your baby's clothes, baby cot, pram, shoes, bib etc.

It depends on where you are using this. Given Singapore's humidity and heat, I would say just under 24 hours for a one day use outdoor. If used indoors away from sunlight, it may last much longer. Patches are supposed to have 72hours effectiveness but it all depends on where and how you use them.

Open packages should be stored away in airtight containers or sealed in bags, away from heat and sunlight to prolong its life.
