Please find below my answers:
1, no transmitter is needed. The signal is transferred through WIFI.
2, no, it works only on Windows 7
3, no, it works with only one PC at the same time
4, Yes, up to 1080P (requires a powerful PC and a powerful Router).
5, Please place the receiver not too far from your Router. The max distance (normally 10m without wall) from Router to receiver varies according to your Router.
