  I received the charger ordered, but my Olympus camera battery Li-42B does not fit properly into the charger as expected. When I place the battery on the charger in the correct direction, the 'Charge' light lights up in green/yellow colour, which I believe should happen only when the battery is finished charging. Also, on the charger it's stated that it fits Li-40B/Li-30B but no Li-42B is mentioned. Please advise whether the correct charger was sent.

Please see the attached photo. It was taken when I first placed the near-empty battery on the charger. The light indicator stayed yellow even 8 hours later. When I removed the battery and insert into the camera, the battery is only 2/3 charged and not fully charged.

Umm..I think there is 2 problem.
First, your battery is old and It's free voltage so, you need to charge more..
