Hi,

Standard and USB all can be use in Taiwan.
Normally when you are in hotel, just leave it overnight to charge.
Don't think is slow in charging. We are all using them to charge iPhone/ Samsung/ iPad.

You need to push and lock back the green color button.
Failure to do that will, the contacts will not meet and led will not be "on".
